I started a SAL with my friend Ellen on January 1st. We are doing a block a month on CHS Year of HRH. I am stitching it on 40ct Lakeside linen Sand Dune with NPI silk. I finished block 1 and now it's back to model stitching and a pre-stitch for an upcoming class.
We had lots of snow yesterday so today will be clean up so we can start the work week tomorrow. Oh what fun! Quite honestly, I HATE snow and cold weather. Looks real pretty from inside when you can be snuggled up but just plain yuck. If I could move somewhere warm that didn't have large insects and reptiles I would definitely consider it but I hate those worse than I hate winter.

That is so pretty, Nataly! I look forward to watching the sampler grow this year...
Lovely snow photos, too. We only have an inch here in western PA--not sure how we escaped so easily :)
Congratulations on getting the January block finished! It is a lovely block with great colors. Your snow photos are beautiful. Enjoy your day!
Oh that sampler is gorgeous! First I have seen of it. Your snow is pretty, but I completely agree. And I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life. Doesn't mean I love the frigid weather.
Love that block! Great standalone piece even if you never did another one.
Snow.. I wish it only fell on grassy areas and leaved the streets and sidewalks alone!
"January" looks awesome as do your snow pix. I love snow but I know I don't have a lot of company in that feeling. Have a great week and with the expected warm up this week, maybe your snow will be gone by weeks end.
Nataly: I love your new start, I am looking forward to seeing your progress.
I live in Minnesota and hate the cold and snow, it is pretty when sitting indoors but going out into it sucks, so sorry about my tongue using bad words.
I would put up with little creatures for warm weather.
Do you live where you do not normally get this kind of weather?
Blessings
Catherine
Beautiful stitching. I live in No. CA and the last time we had snow here was 1976, it was just a dusting over the green lawns but it was a big deal. I was very young but still remember it. No bugs or weird things here either. ;-)
We are kind of middle of the country in Virginia Beach, so we get the warm, buggy weather and we also get snow, like the blizzard yesterday! Aack!!
This is going to be so cute.
The snow pics are pretty.

My life be your start and finish on block #1 and your snowy photos too 😊
Lovely New Year's stitching! Hope you stay nice and warm with all that snow :D
